Steam Refunds: Can I play a game while a refund is pending
I purshed Trials Evolution: Gold Edition, and the next day it went on sale for 50% off. Since it is 50% I can buy a gift copy and wait for the refund to go though. This is stated on steams refund faq here

I would like to know if i am allowed to play the game while it is going to be refunded without the refund being denied.

Playing the game can hurt your chances if it goes over the 2 hour limit. It's advised you don't play it while waiting on refund.

In theory yes, but if you end up having a playtime of more than two hours, your refund will be denied.
It seems the refund went through, as the game is no longer on your account.
