Steam removed access to football manager 2016
Hello all and thank you for taking the time to look at this issue with me.

I'm a big football manager fan, I have every year since 2009. I bought the latest version off Gk4.me. I activated the product code and everything was fine, got to play it for an hour or so but then had to leave it because of work commitments.

I believe I was in the middle of playing Xcom 2 when a steam message came up saying they'd removed football manager 2016. I cant remember the exact wording because it was a one time time message.

It still shows in my library but now instead of play it says purchase. I tried re-activating it but steam says the product code is already activated. It gives you an option to trace which steam account its linked too and lo and behold, it's mine.

So i can't activate it again because it's already linked to my account and I can't play it because it says I don't own it.

What the hell do I do? Anyone else had an issue like this? Completely gutted because now I actually have time to play it!!

That site you mentioned is filtered for a reason. Because the site has been known to buy illegal keys.

the key was probably revoked by the publisher/developer so you should contact the site that sold you the key and tell them to contact them and resolve it for you.

be careful with buying keys from third party sources make sure you buy them from a reputable source

Steam Support cannot help you with issues with a third party key. Talk to the company that sold you the illegally acquired key.

Thanks everyone for all your help. The key was revoked by the publisher/developer, so thanks well done for spotting that.

I contacted the website I bought it from and steam support. Nothing from Steam yet but the website want a whole host of screen shots of variance things before they send me another key.

Steam support wont do anything as the problem is not with Steam.

I contacted steam support more to do with the reply I got from the website I attained the key from:

We apologize for the inconvenience. In order get new serial code, we need the following screen shots from you: library, transactions history, inventory, account details (license and subscriptions) trading history and the error message. Please also message the Steam Support and ask when the key was used. Send us a screenshot of their answer.

Call me skeptical but it just seems like an awful lot just to get another key.

Well they don't want to have to give you another key. Also since you didn't get a screen shot of the error message that only pops up once they will probably just refuse to give you a key.

In the future don't purchase from Grey Market sellers.

Hey, it's their store and they can do whatever they want with it. Pro tip: People who sell stolen goods aren't serious and shouldn't be trusted. At all.
