DSR (i think) problems. I don't want it on, but I can't seem to stop it!
I've got DSR factors turned off at the driver level, in Nvidia control panel and also in Geforce Experience, but whenever I'm in a game in Steam, it looks like DSR is being applied. You can easily see it on the overlay. My second PC doesn't have this issue, runs the same 1080p monitor (although a lower spec GPU) and the overlay is crisp and clean. On my main machine also runing at 1080p, the text looks "fuzzy", like its being aliased (also off at the driver level) or DSR'd. I've searched forums for tips, I've looked everywhere I can think of in options etc, but I just cannot seem to get rid of it! Can anyone help, any suggestions/ideas? Thanks in advance!

Examples:
Ingame Steam Chat Window: http://im.gy/Hod
Out of game same Chat Window: http://im.gy/pVO

Thats the same chat window, with the screenshots taken not 10 seconds apart. As you can see, whilst ingame, the overlay is being messed with by something, either DSR or aliasing, but I cannot for the life of me find out where.

Also - at the driver level all games including steam are set to use the global settings for aliasing and DSR factors, all off.
If NVIDIA DSR resolution choices and thus smoothing are disabled; then it can't be applied. Beside, it is never applied to a resolution your screen already supports.

Go into Steam > Settings > Interface and tick the box for:
- Enable DirectWrite for Font Smoothing
Click OK out of Settings; restart Steam Client

Thanks for the reply, yes I did find that one, and turned it off and it has improved the font/overlay appearance, however my reference machine has it turned on and is also running at 1080, and looks fine. I do not know why this machine has this issue and it's doing my head in!
