I have a I7-6700K + 16GB ram + GTX980ti and I'm very satisfied ;)
No it's very good for 1920 x 1080 too.
I've always had 16GB, better have enough than to little, I use Sony Vegas and other video editing tools, there I need the ram.
It is an expensive card, if you are in no hurry, wait for the next generation, Pascal should be great, and with that you might get the same or better performance for less money.
and what do you suggest 6700k or 5820k ??
If you are going to do alot of rendering and video editing I would imagine that the 5820K would be the road, for gaming I7-6600 + GTX980 could be an option if you just want to play 1080P.
My best advise, google all you can before deciding, the more you learn the better you can make a choice, after all it is a good chunk of money you are about to spend.
