XLR Mic Not Working In Steam
Hi y'all! I've been having a frustrating problem. I was hoping you could help!

I'm running Windows 8.1, and I'm using an XLR (Audio Technica AT2020) mic through a USB (M-Audio Fast Track) amp running into my computer. My mic seems to be working in other applications, just not Steam.

Previously, I was using a Razer headset and everything was working fine, so it's no Nvidia Geforce fiasco, albeit that is an outdated problem. I just wanted a higher quality mic!
I've gone through all of which this site says to do https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1206-WUOH-3314.

Any help is much appreciated fam!

go to steam preferances - voice - input - select what you want

That's a broken link in the OP.

When I go to the voice panel in steam, the client does not detect any audio at all from the AT2020. It works in other programs, and all the drivers are up to date on all of my hardware. My headset works, so deductively it's some vague problem...

Also, all of my other VOIP programs are closed when I try to calibrate the mic.

Steam is not picking up any sound from my new mic. It works in other programs.
