Steam -> Settings -> Interface -> Enable GPU accelerated rendering in web views (requires restart) -> Off (pushbutton to the left)
It's possible your GPU driver doesn't work well with multiple rendering contexts, this is especially true in dual-GPU setups (Intel/AMD IGP + AMD/nVidia GPU)
Should chrome (or whichever browser you use) start to crash as well, make sure hardware acceleration is disabled there as well.
Hi and thank you for your answer, unfortunely disabling "Enable GPU accelerated rendering" did not solve my problem.
It is true that I have dual AMD/Nvidia setup, (7800x3D/RTX4070). could that cause a problem for me?
Is it possible to choose that I want to use my GPU both for the game and ingamebrowser?
I recommend only doing this during gaming sessions because it can negatively affect power consumption and thermals.
