also first sorry my english is not that well ... ok so recently i am not sure about this but i read steam guids and they said advertise commercial content is againts the steam law so i am asking this if they are talking about websites advertise or anything because i was looking to getting

commission arts so that i can get items for drawing arts for people who buy my work and my arts i am not artist i just wanna know this because i was trying to help with my friend and i am still not sure about this is anyone know any information about this pls let me know i would be happy :3

It's pretty clear what advertising means. Unsolicited announcements that you are offering a service or product. I know of a few users on Steam, some that I have friended, that do the same thing you do. They'll post some artwork they are in the middle of completing that they are proud of and they might mention that it is a commissioned piece for someone. That's enough for us to know they do work for hire without them posting on our profiles, or in the forums, with "hey! I'm looking for work! Hire me!!"

so and then steam didn't ban them or idk giving them some steam alart or something because you know we have lots furry gamers here so i was going to upload some furry arts so that i can show them how much they worth like 10$ for headshot and its something like you so that means i am going to draw him as anystyle he wants so is this calculated as a ad ? so steam might getting angry for that i am not sure

Passive advertisement on your own profile that is not intrusive, such as a link to your art site, is allowed. Active advertisement (DMing to friends without their consent or posting ads on the forums) is not allowed.

If you wish to show samples for advertisement purposes, your own artwork section is fine for that as long as the content is SFW and is not objectionable in any way.

No, because they weren't advertising. Like I said, it's very clear what defines advertising and what doesn't. Do you think you should be banned because you started this thread mentioning that you want to earn money by drawing arts for people? Of course not. This is not advertising. You're just talking about the work that you do.

You'll not get banned for the content on your artwork page. That content is fine.
You'll not get banned for this thread either because the purpose of this thread was to inquire about the details of the Steam community rules.
