Unlinking ea is impossible

I just want to unlink my steam account from my old ea account.

I deleted my old email account years ago so I can't sign into ea with that email to unlink it.

So I contacted ea and understandably they wanted me to verify myself.

However,

The verification questions are unrealistic and in some cases impossible to answer.

1. IP address: Which one do you want? There is one on my computer, one on the back of my modem and router, and one through the link you provide. They are all different.

2. Date of birth: Normal request.

3. One purchase and date it was purchased: Is this a purchase through the EA account/site or can it be from other platforms like steam? The reason I ask this is because I don't remember if I ever bought a game from the EA site let alone be able to remember the date of purchase.

4. Last 4 digits of credit card: Impossible! Most banks I've dealt with require you to change your credit card number every 1 to 2 years, and if I can't remember the last time I bought a game from your site I'm betting my number has changed more than once in that time.

5. Billing address: In the last ten years I've moved four times. How do I know which address is on my account?

6. Phone number: And I have changed my phone number once in the last ten years.

I am unable to play or purchase any ea games.

Is there anything steam can do to help?

No there is nothing Steam Support can do. Then link is done on EA's side not on Steam's.

1. The WAN IP address, or rather, your ISP you were under when registering the EA account
2. The DOB
3. The good(s) and date of an EA purchase
4. The last 4 digits of your credit card when you last performed a purchase on EA
5. The billing address on which you did your last purchase on EA
6. The phone number which you possessed while performing the last purchase on EA

Steam cannot dictate any data association on EA's databases. This is something EA has to fix for you.

It's not impossible. But it may require users to manage their accounts properly so they're able to access them. Failing to do so may have consequences, like creating a difficult or impossible scenario. But that's self inflicted.

EA can't modify accounts you don't have access too. Valve can't modify EA accounts you don't have access to either. Unlinking your EA account, something which is entirely managed on EA's side involves managing the EA account, if you can't access it, you can't manage it.

Complaining about all the ways you can't access your account through the existing recovery options assumes there's no way to manage those details. Like for example, in a password manager.

No. The link is at EA. Steam merely announces you to EA's service and EA decides which EA account is related to the Steam account.

From what I have read from others, if you are successful in unlinking the Steam account at EA, you will not be able to relink to a new EA account. You're better off trying to regain control of the EA account.

Steam dont link to other , its other that link to steam.

You might have a update issue, could be from 10 to 15 minute global update at EA server's not steams.

What you hope for is a refresh of own data cach so it can see the change on local pc.
all this is still EA area.

i doubt ip-adr will be used at all from a big company as EA , Dynamic ip adr shoot that old way down along time ago.
