Corrupt Update Files

Was playing Starfield this AM game crashed about 10 seconds after loading. I did a integrity check as it usually does that when a file is corrupted. It found 48 missing files wt....
Started the integrity check and got a Corrupt update file.
Tried several times than started looking for solutions and did did the following:
1 - Cleared Download Cache,
2 - Changed download Region
3 - Unistalled the game and tried reinstalling it from fresh
4 - tried to save on a different SSD
5- Uninstalled Steam and lost all games reinstalled it in different folder etc
6 Changed the download folder, renamed it, deleted it.
7 Reinstalled Windows from fresh (you have no idea the waist of time)

Nothing WORKS WTF......
I am out of ideas I tried even playing with windows Defender but nothing.

Dont get us wrong here it look like a crash, only you know if that happend, and now it end like this if thats the case make steam ticket, problem is even if we help you, and get it fixed steam will not learn what cause this, and they can even say steam user own faulth even.

You will do all steam user a favor with make a steam ticket, so it dont happend to next steam user, you might dont care, problem is steam will only help them with the problem and not read here, and i can tell it happend every day with another steam user.

and steam devs dont read here, ( they should read here, i did not say they need to reply, but it seem they use a no steam sticket then steam has no problem, do know what is cause and effect , and this is exatly that, problem is therer is nothing we can do about what OS is doing and why it happend, ( to even blaim it on cause and effect ) will get us nowhere, there is 1 billion steam user account im sure you can see a problem now.

we dont force you to make a steam ticket , but if you think we can write all this again and again in what to do, or copy paste a reply. ( that will not happend things change sometimes on why it happend ) dont forget ytou actual had a working game before that. ( i assume it was a crash )

we need steam support to look at it, problem is what to do about it.
maybe they already know and maybe not.

im sure even you dont get it, what happend here, this is hell to check for all possibilities with a disk.


this dont ruleout disk itself, but sometimes its not, its here its get complicated.


plenty of post with it, repair steam library to check disk in the system and so on.
and to even think helping you if we can and it work for you then it will happend again to next user. ( as i said its everyday another steam user get the error )


Dont forget we are not support, ( we are steam user here in this user forum )

we did not see so many steam user with this over a year ago. ( any helper here can tell you that, if they notice it. ) so this is not about me, this is about what happend.

Dont forget we other have many years of pc experience even in box games, and then you had a crash in a game, it was not a big issue, you did not need to run check disk and all them issue it was more rare then common you actual did have a faulthy disk. ( as i said you need to see the big picture here ) any experience pc user know this.

its here its odd now we have a steam user every day, ( this dont add up ) and what will steam do about it. ( if they can figure it out and change or prevent it from happend )
