Still well below throttling limits.
At any rate 85C is within specs, and the CPU and GPU will throttle as needed to avoid exceeding thermal limits. So have you noticed bad performance from throttling?
I mean laptops are a small form factor with limited ventilation, they run hot and gaming puts a high load on the CPU and GPU. Making sure it's relatively clean, the fans work, and you're not doing anything to impede airflow (like putting the laptop on your bed) you should generally be fine.
Replacing the thermal paste isn't a terrible idea, although getting into the guts of the laptop may be a hassle, and unless there's something wrong with your existing thermal paste (like the laptop was always throttling) I wouldn't expect more than a few degrees improvement, at best.
Mine gets around 70 as max. I do keep it clean by removing dust often enough, keeping vents clear and having the laptop on a stable place (table/desk, and when on couch a laptop board, never directly on blankets of such).
Depends on the CPU/GPU, but usually around 95-100 or such.
The point where the CPU or GPU will start underclocking to keep the temps in a safe range. Different CPU's and GPU's have different limits. Older hardware was often in the 85C range, so that's still what I think. While some hardware might be OK at 95-100C I wouldn't be shocked if the throttle limits for your hardware were a bit lower. But that's info you can look up yourself.
idle temp is 41 C
For perspective my desktop 3080 ti is idling at 55C. (granted it's significantly different GPU, in a desktop, I'm just saying there's nothing wrong or concerning with 41C on a 1650)
Many years ago some keys began misbehaving on a laptop of mine, and I realised that the heat from the dedicated Nvidia GPU had warped the retainer clips beneath them.
