New Steam Browser Mic Permissions?

So the Discord overlay doesn't work in a game I am playing so I wanted to use Discord in the steam browser but I can't seem to find a way to give it mic permissions even though steam has permissions to use my mic and it works find in steam voice chat. I've been googling how to solve this issue but since it involves steam and discord I get a lot of results not relating to the steam browser or even the steam overlay at all
