Accessing EA play games through steam

I have purchased Xbox game pass ultimate, through which I got EA Play also. Then I saw that EA Play is also available on steam. I linked my EA account to steam, but even then, I can't download the games through steam.
I only get two options: either to buy the game or get the ea play subscription again through steam.
I tried to google this but that led to even more confusion.
Please help.

You will need to access it through your xbox account or the EA site as they have their own games site and steam's EA is different as you did not buy it on steam.
