no i will not google this for you, then you can check for other cloud that might do this also depend on location, i suspect maybe that is what is happning here..

game seem to be support by macOS
has it worked before. ? ( because maybe a steam cloud sync issue with a file )

only game devs know if save games is cross platform most has this as a no as default.
and then they do the normal brag about it.
Try ther old ways first turn off cloud start game load and save game again, go enable cloud again now it should trigger a new date and time thats newer and resync again, that how it should work.
other way ingame dele that save, make new save , might also work.
and yes its a pain in the butt and no i and other do not know why syn-c files to newest data and time can be a issue. ( this is steam support, maybe they can see why it happend but that mean you need to contact them and let them see the issue before you try fix it )
imo, best advice is if it worked before, then steam should have a chance to figure out why now you have a sync issue. ( they have access to the system we dont. ) we can only trigger a new date and time save fix so re-sync kick in again ) i have explan it as best i could, if other can explan it faster then do so. )
i could say make new save, but imo dont explan what that means. in a cloud save sontext.
no you can only do that under steam help section , look at right side of center " DO YOU NEED FURTHER HELP" and why i wrote it in capital. so you dont look at center section.
