Is gifting a game from my alt account to my main bannable because of extra funds I never used?

Basically, I got told that if you gave your main inventory items to sell for steam credits it was bannable so if I gift myself a game is that bannable?

Steam does not have an official Discord channel, so you're getting advice from a bunch of strangers. If both of those instances were bannable offences, I would not be talking to you right now.

They are basically saying that they don't want to be involved in what is and isn't allowed. Basically they are blowing you off, which Steam support tends to do when asked if "it's ok" to do stuff.

Trust me, it's fine to gift your account from another one of your accounts. I've been doing it for about 15 years now.

I routinely move items between my main and alt accounts. Cards, skins, cases, backgrounds, gems, anything and everything that can be traded.
