Download a game for another platform/system

i'm currently using linux but my inet speed is slow, i plan to download the game from my office PC which is using Windows. Is it possible to download Linux version of the game from Steam installed in Windows?

Most likely, you'll be playing the Windows version of the game on Linux anyway. The FAR most Steam games you can play on Linux, don't run as native Linux binaries. Instead, they get an emulated Windows environment. Proton, the software component doing the deed, is so damn good, you don't notice a difference.

I got a Steam Deck, playing Windows games there :P It gets even weirder. Some games that got Linux versions, people still recommend emulating the Windows one due to bugs or save compatibility.

The game has linux version, i played it last year and it run just fine, but i forgot to make a backup

I've seen people using SteamCMD for what you're trying to do. It got a parameter for the target platform to download the version for. And yes, people have been using it to download game clients for the "wrong" platform, not servers.
