Chat sending messages I didn't send
I sometimes see sent messages like "hell yeah" to my friend that I did not send myself. It always happens when I am on my computer and its only been to one friend. Its happened a few times over the past few weeks. its never links or anything, only short meaningless messages. I have steam guard set up and am notified whenever strange activity happens.

I don't see any entries there when I click the link, just the option to create an entry. Is it possible for someone to set something like this up? If so my brother was in town over the summer and this seems like something he would do. He pulled a similar prank on me with discord.

How did he do it with Discord?

Also, change your user password, don't tell your brother the new one.

Okay, I changed my password and logged myself out of everywhere else. He didn't make my discord send messages but he made it say I was playing a game that doesn't exist and was embarrassing. Im not sure how he did it. He codes programs all the time and is a computer science major.

The messages send only occasionally, So I won't know for some time. Its usually only a few times a week at most.

Do not trade until your account is secured.

Take the following steps to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.

4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
