A game titled "Spacewar" appeared in my library, and I cant uninstall it.
I've looked at a few discussions online, and people are saying its for pirating. I've never pirated games before, so I don't know how it got there. As far as I know, it just appeared there in the last few hours, as it wasn't there yesterday.

Its either from piracy, or some mods are given the essential wrong thing to call on so it says that instead of the proper game, some games mods are well known to do this.

No idea. Maybe you can unsubscribe from it here?

I think the reason might be because I changed a game TModLoader to a previous versiion in order to play a specific mod. Maybe Steam thinks I pirated it? I have no idea.

Steam does not think anything. It just automatically lists titles there that you played recently.

It says you played "app 480" recently, which I suppose was that title but is no longer sold, and does not show any other titles you played recently.

Normally Steam would put titles there that you played recently.

A previous version of TModLoader may not have been an official Steam version, unless you downloaded it from Steam. Maybe you downloaded it from a random website, and whatever you downloaded somehow switched app ID's with that title?

For me, it shows all of my recently played games, including Spacewar. As long as it doesn't actually do anything, and isn't a virus, I'm not too concerned about it.

Its probably harmless.
Electronic Arts apps that are downloaded by Steam also sometimes make other games appear in the recently played list. Glitches can be embarrassing sometimes. You do not have to be responsible for them yourself.

Alright, it looks like I fixed it. I uninstalled the two mods I had installed earlier today, and restarted my computer. It's no longer in my steam library, so it looks like I'm all set. Thanks for the help, I wouldn't have been able to figure it out otherwise.

Some specific mods do that. I have noticed if it's not illegitimate activity; people have noted it drops off entirely.

SpaceWar is just a tutorial or example app to teach developers how to implement the SteamWorks api into their game.

It can be used to aid piracy but it can also be used for a myriad of perfectly innocent applications.

If you're not a pirate, I really wouldn't worry about it. Some people just want to play SpaceWar as it's a recreation of one of the first video games ever made.
