Solution for high hotspot RTX4090 temeperatures
Apparently someone who probably has nothing better to do reported my post which helps people with high RTX 4090 hotspot temperature even though I have no affiliation to the website which sells the parts , but hey they dont ask they just remove your post even if its to help people with an issue!

Due to this pettiness I have re-posted the solution below but I'm not allowed to post any link to where you can get the panels as there ARE RULES!. Anyway here is the solution :

I bought a cyberpower system which used the HYTE Y60 case which looks great but I noted my GPU hotspot temperatures could rise up to 90 Degrees if the FPS was unlimited and also on some Ultra settings in games. vsync would lower the temps to around 75-80 degrees hotspot temperature on demanding games but if vsync was off it could go to 90 degrees at times. This seems to happen because the glass case is too close to the GPU fans. When I removed the case the temperatures went down to about 65 degrees for Ultra settings on Cyperpunk and only 50 to 60 Degrees on Starfield! Not wanting to leave my case open I purchased a side panel for this case which has ventilation and the results have been great. Temperatures are now about 20 to 25 degrees cooler! The side panels can be purchased from the "not allowed to say the site but just google it" they do exist : perhaps googling side panel HYTE Y60 may help

Hope this helps people as I was getting cheesed off having spent so much money on a system which I had to lower settings to keep cool. The side panel case was the issue for me and the above fixed it!

Not sure what this has to do with the Steam client, or the Steam services.

And for buying a Cyberpower pre-built known for being terrible, that's on you.

its not terrible actually , its very good! As far as I know this forum is called Help and Tips, doesn't say anything about help and tips for steam client! As many users have an RTX 4090 and use steam client it is a helpful hint! Also I have over 26 years in IT with certifications so am well qualified to know if a system is good or not. the post is to help people but if doesnt apply to you why are you reading the post ! Just move on instead of moaning!

yeah but then you are limiting yourself after buying a top of the range card, all you need is a side panel

Well, rather limit the fps than drop the quality settings or the resolution. Look at what happened to those RTX 3090's playing New World. Don't make expensive mistakes

no need to if you use the ventilated side panel as for me I can ramp everything up now to max and no worries.

There are plenty of reviews about this case and issues with airflow with the side panel.
