If it not there, then possible you may have either have setting enable to "don't save account" enable, or something causing problem with file, and permissions for Steam, or client issues, which you can try each option see if it fixes the issue.
A) Opt in, or out of Steam beta.
B) Redownload client files, head to where steam installed, delete everything except for "steamapp" folder, and "steam.exe" file then run steam, and see if issue fixed.
I cannot find the "list" only and don't understand what you mean.
Yes, I was using the "change account" without difficulty before the issue started. I did not alter or change any settings anywhere. But I did start getting error messages saying the steamwebhelper was not responding.
I don't know what to do.
Nope. Profile names are NOT the same as usernames. Profile names can be the same, usernames CAN NOT be as they are the login names for separate accounts.
So, it took a while, but I finally remembered my login info and regained control of my 2nd account. Thanks for the help. The process can be confusing.
No it's not. Just like with ANY online service, you simply need to keep track of your login information.
I suggest you grab a piece of paper and a pen, and just write down login name, password, and E-Mail address for everything you register with. Keep that in a place where you can find it if needed.
