HDMI no signal
Hi there,

I am having trouble gaming on my Samsung Ark 55" monitor. When booting in to any game there is a black loading screen with a spinning wheel that comes and goes every minute or so making it impossible to play the game.

Specs of my PC:
Ryzen 9 7950x
64 gb of RAM
Windows 11 Pro (updated)
AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT (updated)

This is super annoying as both my PC and monitor are up-to-date with all drivers installed. I've tried a different HDMI cable, lowering the refresh rate from 165 to 120 hz, tried a different outlet, contacted Samsung directly with no solution to this issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Only in games?
What happens if you set 60hz?

Some newer video cards require a DP HDMI .
A display port.
When I bought my nvidia 1660 with 6 gig vram my samsung monitor supported a dvi and the display port adapter could not slot into the dvi so ran a dvi cable to a display port adpter on the gpu. Gave me HDMI support.

As its a global problem please check the directx being used.
most games support direct 11 or later.
If your GPU is getting old could be the cause.

Open the run type in dxdiag press enter run all the diagnostics see if there is any problems with 3D direct draw etc under display.

It started happening when I got my 55" Samsung Ark monitor. I have my 75" Samsung smart TV plugged into the video card. I've been looking for a 165 hz DP to HDMI cable, but I haven't had much luck. Is there such a thing or am I limited?

Do it work with no other multi monitor at gpu card. ( try see it as a test because what if thats the problem here GPU card can or system has a issue, problem is if it is then you need experts on it thats GPU card support also, im sure you know whata clean driver install is, Most AMD user know this today.

I am not sure it would work using a DP > HDMI cable. Those cables are one-way only, which would prohibit device detection, which is used by the Samsung ?

I suspect you are not going to have good results with adapters; you need to connect directly to HDMI ports with HDMI 2.1 cable.

You need HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.2 or better (HBR2 or better) for 1080p at 165 Hz. Adapters likely won't help you.
