Germany not Europe ?!

Bought a key off of Instant Gaming Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition-Europe
Steam doesn't want to activate it cause the purchase is "not available" in my region.

You need to buy games from authorized resellers listed here:

All others are a risk and if it doesn't work you need to get a refund from them or if they refuse then you need to do a chargeback as many will abuse regional pricing to resell game keys.

Because you bought a random 3rd party key for the wrong region. Germany has some country specific rules which for games can sometimes means they have their own specific version, or the game is just not available. Buying random keys may not be a way to get around that.

That's assuming the key isn't mislabeled or fraudulent either.

You should think about refunding it and buying the game from Steam, no?

There is no reason why the european version is not activating. There is no special version

Sooooo.... looking at what SteamDB is showing, there are at least 3 different regional versions.

There is one just for Brazil:

There is this one for nearly all of the Europe regions including the SE Asia (except for Japan, China, and South Korea:

Then there is the US, Canada, CIS Dollar, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and China regions:

So it is possible that OP might have gotten a key from one of the two non-European regions. If OP is in Germany, they need a key for the 2nd one.
