According to this list ARESGAME PSUs are to be avoided entirely. Seems they are utterly junk.

And that review is certainly confirming that.
Seriously, don't cheap out on a PSU. You don't need to overpay, but at least get a decent one.
EVGA PSU's are the best in the world. In December, usually they have high discounts to make way for the new generation PSU's. I got my 850 Platinum 80+ for $45 with free International shipping.
Every benchmark I run works fine, no crashes. Tried cinebench, Uniengine, everythign runs fine, but during games I get hard crashes.
Which 850w PSU would you guys recommend? I've read that 850w should be more than enough for my rig, but I want to buy from a more reputable brand and see if this is really the issue.
1. EVGA

good point
I had the same issue and here is what i've done.
First of all you need to be ok with all the Windows updates and your GPU drivers need to be updated.
You also need to check if your issue is not coming from your RAM or your CPU or even your hard drive (they all need to have room and never be used too high. To check that you can press ctrl + alt + del during a game to check that (for example if your CPU is at 100% it's not a good thing at all).
-Once you've checked that, right click on Windows (left side of your screen, all bellow) and click on "command prompt" (sometimes it is powershell on Windows 10, it depends of what you've chosen in your settings), then write "sfc/scannow" and press enter.
If you've got some corrupted files on Windows it will repair it. It will take a few time
Last thing you really should buy (if not already) a big ssd (1 or 2 to) and put all your games (and Windows) in it, it changes everything.
Have a good time!
Hi Koozniak, are you sure you had the same issue where PC was hard freezing and rebooting or was your issue just crashing to desktop?
As mentioned above, everything on my system is up to date, nothing is overclocked, and you can see I have a 1tb M.2 drive.
Thanks I gave this a try too and got the following:
C:\Windows\system32>sfc/scannow
Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.
Ok thx I'll give it a try again.
Meanwhile, ordered this which should be here tomorrow. Just incase I do need a new PSU
