I get people adding me every week doing the exact same Scam
I keep reporting all the Accounts and nothing happens to them

you can put all the warnings you want on stuff, you can have 1 million people working in support, and guess what will still happen... people will get scammed. the report system works, unless you think it should somehow send a message backwards thru time so support can stop the scam before it happens, but I dont see that happening anytime soon.

All you can really do is report and block the accounts in question.

Also, maybe create a 2nd account (with inventory set to friends only) and trade stuff you aren't using over too it. Your inventory is a scammers dream account to take.

Block and report does nothing.
I just don't want them to scam anyone else

99% of those accounts are hijacked and used to spread the scam anyways. The owner regains access to their account and the hijackers use a new hijacked account.

I still dont know why they have the app. Any 2fa app at this point has the same security. "Dont leak your details and you are good".
We still need to tell that.

When Steam had Community Mods. We used to post in our Trade Group and they would ban them. They need to ban the IP Addresses

Your average IP address can be reset or bypassed in a number of ways. Proxies, dynamic IP, VPNs, etc.

A lot of scammers use stolen accounts too, which is why naming and shaming doesn't really do anything.

Yea old Accounts that don't have Steam Gaurd. When Google got hacked the got all my Saved Passwords on Chrome. They couldn't get into my main Account but they got my Old Account I used to have on my Dedicated Server. I have Steam Guard on that now tho. Had to change all my Passwords. Post Covid Scamming gotten worse. I get Calls, Txt Messages and Emails. Your Apple or Amazon Account. I don't even have either of those 😅

Yea old Accounts that don't have Steam Gaurd.
Every account got email auth enabled.
