This is what will hold you back. Intel integrated graphics are better than they used to be, but they're not for gaming. You can enjoy undemanding indie games, old AAA games, and newer AAA games at very low settings.
You're going to notice most laptops with a decent GPU probably cost noticeably more than what you were looking to spend on that HP 15s laptop.
You will just be miserable.
Could you recommend a gaming laptop between $600 and $700?
If portability is important to you, you might like a Steam Deck. (Or to be fair, an Asus ROG Ally or Lenovo Legion Go. Personally I suggest the Deck, but you do you.) If you want portability but you also want to do some productivity tasks, maybe a used gaming laptop somewhere. If portability isn't important to you at all, then you can price out a desktop that will absolutely outperform any portable option.
You'll be unlikely to find a new gaming laptop for under $1000 or so.
