Separating my son’s games from mine
My son is 14 now. Some years ago, when he was 9/10 ish, he started wanting to play games and I let him use my Steam account to buy a few games and play them on his PC. Now he is old enough and has enough of his own games that we’re starting to run into an issue where we both want to play at the same time (separate games; we don’t play any of the same games) but can’t both be logged into my account at the same time. An easy solution would seem to be to create a new acct for him and transfer his games to that acct - again, we don’t play any of the same games, so this would be easy.
However, doing my research here and on the internet, as well as asking Steam Support, it seems like this is not possible. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I’d hate to have to re-buy and re-download all his games again.

It seems to have to be, according to this: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/57A7-503C-991F-E9A8

Not if you read all of the document...
You can do it across multiple devices, the article can at best be seen as contradictory as it does start out talking about the same PC.

Is there a limit to the number of accounts I can share my Library with?
Yes. A Steam account may authorize Family Library Sharing on up to 5 accounts and on up to 10 devices in a 90 day period. This includes accounts/devices that you have cancelled sharing with in that same time period.

Note the reference to devices

Can I share my games with users that don't live with me?
While Family Sharing can work for users that are not accessing Steam from the same location, due to technical limitations, the feature may encounter issues that Steam is unable to provide support for.

You're not going to be using the same device if you live elsewhere.
