Screen Dimming Problem
Hello.
I am having a problem where whenever I launch a game from Steam specifically my screen brightness changes to 0%. When I tab out it changes back to 100%, and when I tab back in it switches to 0%. I have browsed Google for a solution but I have found nothing that worked. Adaptive brightness is off. I uninstalled Steam and reinstalled it, and that worked for a short period of time but it eventually started dimming my screen again. Playing in windowed mode fixes the problem, but there are some games that do not allow me to play in windowed mode. If anybody has a solution, please let me know. This is starting to stress me out.

UPDATE:
I've discovered that it is not just Steam that dims my screen, it is going full screen. I googled once again but came up with nothing that helped. I don't have an Enable Adaptive Brightness option in Control Panel, and Game Mode doesn't seem to be the issue either. If anyone has any further advice I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Does this happen when you have other screens connected as well ?
I'm not quite sure what you mean, but I play on a laptop and I don't have any other monitors. Sorry if this isn't what you were asking.

If you've AMD GPU; turn off image sharpening in AMD Adrenaline.
