Starfield key?

I just received my package with the Constellation Edition of Starfield. When unpacking I noticed that the "Download-Key" in it does not work with Steam but that I seem to have to register at Microsoft to redeem the game.

Is there a way to get a Steam-Key instead?

No, what you see is what you get. You were sold a Microsoft Store key.

If it was a retail or physical purchase, you will have to take your inquiry to the store you bought from.

No safe way, no. Only way would be to trade with someone, but you'll probably end up scammed and i doubt that anyone would prefer a microsoft key over a steam key.
