Steam login email not found

Tried connecting to my account the other day (usually logs in automatically), it asled me to use Steam guard mobile which i don't have setup but just in case I downloaded it and tried to connect to my account, no results... So then I naturally tried to recover it by email, which resulted in Steam not finding my email at all... I bought many games on this account and would probably be able to retrieve old credit cards information or proof of sale in case a cd key was used for the purchase.

I don't know why it asked for a Steam guard mobile code in the first place, and then failed to recover my email. Would appreciate any help as it an old account (2004) and (for me) has a decent library of games.

Recover your account:

Steam Support page about Account Recovery

You must be logged out of all accounts to start the account recovery process.

You don't need access to the email, phone or password currently tied to the hijacked/hacked account for this to work. Just pick the "I do not have access..." or a similar option when asked.

The recovery process allows you to provide proof of ownership.
