I lost my accout.

So basically the account I am using currently also uses the same email but has a different user ID. I have made a lot of progress in Apex there so I need it back.
One of my friends on the previous account sent me a link for a $ 50 gift card. the link was legit and redirected me to the browser version of Steam. since the website was legit Steam I was like Let me see what the deal is, and as I logged in I got logged out of my Steam app installed on PC. Now, even In the recovery section, I can't find my account. usually when I forget the password I see two accounts under email, which i could recover with no issue, but this time I cant see my account anymore. is there any way to resolve this?

[edit]: Yes I went through browser history turns out they played games with the letters of the URL and I completely missed it. This is the first time fell for something like phishing links in years. fortunately I don't spend money on games so there is no critical info like credit card, address etc.

Yes the account is locked. When it happened to me i just gave up on it,wasn't worth the trouble of getting it back. Locked means unusable. I suggest creating a new account,email (google account) and new password.

Please do not spread misinformation.

The account will be unlocked as soon as the original owner has recovered their account.

thanks for shading light on it,

i think neither creating new mail makes any sense. it is well protected with 2fa and uses different password. as long as i don't again fall for silly stuff like these i am safe under this same email i had my lost account.

Never log into given links or buttons.

Legitimate things you can find or get to by other ways. Only scams need "the one thing".
You only "miss out" scams.

True. idk what state of mind i was that day i just didn't gave second thought. otherwise i'm not type of person who would fall for these kind of things. I kinda feeling dumb that these even happened with me at first place lol.
