Processes is the correct term, I apologize. Click "Show processes from all users" near the bottom and it should give the task manager full access to close whatever you want.
Then, just find the game under all the other processes and close it, do not close anything you do not know what it is.
I'm on Windows 7, but it shouldn't be much different. Look for something that says something similar to that, there should be a "Shield" beside it to show it gives full access. I'm also assuming your computer user has admin abilities on the computer?
The way W7 has it is, Task Manager > Processes > Show all processes from all users > Find the process and close it.
Can you right click it under the details tab and see if there is a "Go to process" button, that should highlight the process.
I don't think games go under the "Services" tab, if it is under there though, it'll highlight if you click "Go to services", if it doesn't highlight anything, it's not under that tab.
You might want to find someone with Windows 8, as I don't know the way their task manager works. It sounds like your "Details" tab is the same as my "Processes" tab as that's the only way to click "Go to services" over here.
Last suggestion I can make, is try finding the "Show all processes from all users" button under the "Details" section but worded slightly different, might be "Show all details from all users" or something similar.
Btw wolfworns, what game is it that won't close for you?
