"Local Co-op" missing from advanced search in Steam Store.
Hey guys,

Does anyone know what happened to the "local co-op" option, found under "category" in advanced search?

I know I'm not crazy. It must've disappeared somewhere in the last 2 weeks. The last time I know for sure that I used it was 11th of July, as it's my last purchase date.

I'm always on the lookout for new local co-op games with controller support to play on the big screen, but without the search filter it's nearly impossible.

Yeah, I noticed this too. Previously I could go to a local co-op game, click the local co-op category on the right side and get a list of other games sharing that category. This seems to be broken, only page 1 will now show actual local co-op games. If I move to page 2 I get all kinds of games. If I move back to page 1 the local co-op games are gone and replaced by all kinds of games. Please fix!

Thank you HLCinSC!

I just found out that there's also a crowd-sourced tag system, and you can browse on "local co-op" tag.

It's a bit odd how both systems have some major cons, and there's no means to have a little bit of both.

Very happy to see I can finally narrow my search down to both "local co-op" as well as "full controller support". As well as a bit sad that it's user-defined tags and not the complete catalog.

Ah well, back to playing on the big screen :)

Before they were removed, a new user was trying to find them so I posted those two advanced searches (sorted by metacritic) and they still work so maybe they'll add back the stuff they removed.

I just noticed it's not ordered on local co-op, that's inventive :)

Edit: I'm slow, I didn't get the query, but now I see all you need is category2=24. Thanks again.

What?

I'm just saying the link you provided gives me the same issues as I mentioned in my first post in this thread.

My bad I didn't even realize that until now.

Here is HLCinSC's co-op link again, but with the page parameter:

http://store.steampowered.com/search/?sort_by=Metascore&sort_order=DESC&category2=9&page=1

Change the page number manually to browse new pages.
