I'm trying to map my 360 controller to my keyboard and mouse,
not another controller to 360 controller.
In otherwords, I want it so if I, for example, push the right trigger on my XBox 360 controller, my computer clicks the left mouse button. Mapping to a gamepad will not work in PvZ, since it doesn't use a game pad. Neither does The Sims 3 (I have on Origin). I want to map my XBox controller to my mouse movement/input, and keyboard input, for games with no controller support whatsoever.
Then there are games like Fallout: NV and Skyrim, which have commands that only work on the keyboard, like ALWAYS walking/running. They have gamepad support, but most change speed by how far you push the control stick, and I like being able to choose between the two speeds, far easier to avoid running too fast if you have always walk on, which is impossible with gamepad input.
You must put the X360CE files in the root folder for anything u want it to work on/with.
If a app/game has a BIN folder, then that is the folder your put them in, otherwise if no bin folder, then put them in the same folder as the app/game .exe file is in.
So to work with Steam app, put the x360ce files in \Steam\Bin
Exit out of Steam Client; configure x360ce and then relaunch Steam
You shouldn't be using, nor have the need to, use x360ce with games that actually support a controller.
Yes it can; u can remap the controller to anything u want; but the files have to reside in a certain place or it won't work.
Joy2Key and Xpadder work with games yes; but not with something like actually controlling Steam Client from the controller, it will not work and it has already been proven.
