backspace removes 2 letters

Wierd steam today?

Okay so i have had some frustraiting issus with steam today

When i use the search box on marked and want to pick what collection/weapon i want to search for steam freeze andi have to lock the page and open steam in my desktop menu and then i am on a browser thats here on steam, that want me to logg inn/install steam(pretty sure you know what i mean if you have the same problems..)

Why is Steam Community bugged?

In the steam community, and ONLY the steam community, every time I hit Backspace, Delete, or the arrow keys, it suddenly deletes/moves TWO characters instead of one. I don't have this problem with any other programs, nor even in the steam friends chat. It only happens through the steam program directly, typing in a web browser has no problem. I tried restarting steam and it doesn't work. I didn't change any of my settings since the last update. So why does this happen, and how do I fix it?

I also have the backspace/arrow key issue and hopefully it will be resolved in an update within the next few hours.

Aside from that though, I must say that this update to the browser is incredibly fantastic. It's great to see the browser finally enter the 21st century in terms of visual clarity and response time.

Navigating through the forums is much more convenient now so, all bugs aside good job Steam I've waited for this update for quite some time....Thanks

Double Trigger of some keys in Steam

Since the last Update i'm having this problem. When i use my delete key it deletes two letters and when i use arrows it jumps two spaces. Its very annoying and i could need some help with it.

Same here, I am having this problem when typing anywhere in the Steam client. When removing characters with backspace or delete it takes away 2 characters, also navigating through text with the arrow keys moves 2 characters at a time. This is only affecting the client and not when on Steam through a browser. I have also noticed that when clicking on some links in the client (for example this subject) nothing will happen so I had to open it in my browser instead.

It's because of the Beta update.

They are working on fixing it, but if you don't want to wait you can just use the non beta client. (opt out of the beta).

I am not using the beta (at least not that i know of) How can i switch to non-beta thingy?

Go to Steam -> Settings.
Then on the Account tabs there is "Beta Participation"
