Steam client loads slow from taskbar vs opening from tray icon - FIX
Hi all,

I just recently fixed this issue and i would like to share how to fix this:

Solution 1:
1) Control Panel.
2) Device Manager.
3) Display Adapters.
4) Disable igpu (ex. AMD Radeon Graphics).

Solution 2:
1) Win key > type "services".
2) Rigth Click on AMD External Events Utility and disable it (from properties make sure to disable startup).
3) Restart the system.

Hope this helps..

That is a uniquelly terrible idea to disable you iGPU as its much more efficient at doign desktop tasks. And disabling the AMD services which you know are the back bone of thow the AMD chipset works especially on laptops

You could instead, you know, ,enable GPU accelleration in the steam settings?

Sadly i tried everything i could to to make it work. I even tried to add steam to nvidia 3d manager and windows advanced graphics to make nvidia the default setting.. but sadly nothing helped.

My experience was with a PC.. But still, Laptops with integrated and dedicated GPU should have the same solution

Just chiming in to say I was having the same issue. I thought it was because of Windows 11 (just built a new desktop), but disabling AMD integrated graphics from the motherboard BIOS resolved this issue instantly. In regards to a separate comment, "GPU accelerated rendering for web views" was already enabled, so I'm not sure that is related.

DON'T DISABLE THE INGRATED GRAPHICS YOUR DRIVERS JUST NEED AN UPDATE

Sincerely thx man!
I had a same problem with my laptop, and I used to simply disable the igpu and use it.
But I updated my AMD igpu driver and now it works perfectly, despite of my igpu is turned on!
