Edit: It actually DID work this time. Unfortunately, that does mean it's gotta be exclusively wired
I don't remember if I ever saw that screen before. Regardless, I don't have access to the same things I used to in BPM, unless I just don't know where they are now. I'm pretty sure I was able to do more with my controllers in BPM
The settings for controller configuration is the same as the GPUI one. Bare bones. That's the main issue with GPUI (I also use Beta Steam client and my default Steam has a visual overhall and things changed)
I don't think the "Steam Input" options even work at all. I could have them all enabled or disabled, they wouldn't effect or change anything with my other controllers. IDK if it's broken or unfinished or whatever, but I think they're pointless
If there's no way to change my controller to use Nintendo Input and be recognized as a Switch Pro Con, then I guess these basic features I need are wayy ahead of our time or something smh. The only thing I can think of is to just wait for Valve to add these basic necessities
Unsure if you mean just connect, or both pairing + connect so incase you were doing something different: in Switch mode it will also require pairing. Each mode is a separate Bluetooth device.
Or did you already pair it while in Switch mode and encounter an issue connecting?
I first attempted to connect it via Bluetooth (Wirelessly) using the Switch Input method, holding Y + Start, and it didn't work. Wouldn't even show up for the first 5 minutes. I instantly gave up, thinking X Input was the only way to wirelessly connect to PC
I paired it back to my Switch, after like 30m+ of trying smh, and plugged it in via wire to my PC where Steam finally recognized it as a Switch con. Except, it had to be wired
As of a few minutes ago, I spent about 10 minutes trying to pair my con via bluetooth using the Switch Input. After about 7 minutes of nothingness, I managed to get a signal. It kept failing to connect, but it eventually did. So now I got it recognized as a Switch con and it's wireless
After all that, it ended up being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ connection issue smh. But I got it resolved! Pairing this thing is very confusing
