Steam Desktop Authenticator not working
I have tried to use SDA, but every time I attempt to add an account, I put in my phone number, but it just says "Error adding your phone number. Steam returned "GeneralFailure"." I cannot fix this, But I did find another discussion with an answer that was started by a person with the same problem. However, the answer to the problem did not work. Basically, I need help with Steam Desktop Authenticator.

SDA is not an official Steam application. If you need help with it, you should reach out to the dev team members on their github page.

Hey! I would highly recommend upgrading to the version 14 pre-release which aims to fix a lot of the recent errors, yours included. (Note: Pre-releases may come with additional errors, when upgrading always keep a backup of the older version until a final version is released)

(When installing new versions of SDA always ensure the it is an official release provided by this repository. Recently attackers have been using link-shorteners to hide fake versions of SDA to steal accounts.)

Or you can navigate to the "versions" section and click on "Version 14 pre-release".

Actually works, just the link is broken. Anyone: find the correct link for prerelease 1.0.14 or a newer version here.
