Steam Mobile App Signed In But Not Signed In
I changed my steam password last night.

Today on the mobile app I appear to be logged in. I am even able to use steam guard. But I am unable to access my notifications or see my profile. The notifications page says "Unable to load notifications. Please try again later." and has a try again button.

My profile says I have 0 games and 0 friends. When I click view profile it says "please wait verifying login information...", then it says "Error. There was an error communicating with the Steam servers. Please try again later."

If I go to the news tab, it gives me an option to sign in. I had clicked on it which brought me to the login form. I put in my credentials, it then oddly asked me to enter the code from the steam mobile app, which I guess let me do through guard. After that, nothing changed. The sign in button is still there.

Anyone know how I can fix this without having to maybe reinstall?

Android 13
App version 3.6.0

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I updated my password on desktop and wanted to update the credentials on the mobile app, but it never asked to update them anywhere. I just get errors in the same places as you : viewing notifications, viewing confirmations, can't access account details.

Steam Guard is preventing me from logging out so I can't even update them this way.

Yes, I changed my credentials and so nothing is working. Let me update them!!

I think I may just deactivate guard so I can log out and in again, and then reactivate it.

I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling steam. When logging in, I chose the "I don't have access to my mobile authenticator" option and it sent a SMS to "migrate the authenticator to a new device" (which is the same device).

In any case, everything now works fine again.
