Cant refund buggy game with 3min "playtime"
I had issues with Donut County for awhile now where it crashes everytime before I reach the menu. I waited awhile because I was hoping the bug would be patched but it never did!

I finally requested a refund to steam but they dont accept it even though I physically can't play the game. Can't I send them a bug report or record my game crashing as evidence? This is my first time refunding a game I think, so it's really disappointing to see steam not helping me or asking for evidence at all, instead just refusing and shutting the case.

Don't know if this adds context but I did buy the game on sale, I just want what i paid and they can even just put it in my steam wallet.

It's kinda dumb that I basically got scammed since I can't even access the game.

How long have you had the game?

The refund system is automated. It only looks for if you are within the refund window. Which is 2 hours played and 14 days owned. If you outside either one of them the system will deny you the refund.

If you are slightly outside the window you can message Steam Support and they may make an exception.

Damn, it's definitely been more than 14 days since i got the game, I didnt know about that rule. I thought as long as the gameplay is under 1 hour you can get a refund. I guess my best hope is that Donut County fixes whatever bug is preventing me from playing it :(

You can try a manual ticket. Find the purchase, choose the "I have a question about this purchase" option and explain politely.
Keep in mind that they can still say "no".
