Latin american key isnt working

Hello, i went to holiday in buenos aires and did think about the option to buy a cheap key
Now i did buy a key for latin america and steam says that the key isnt working at the moment in my country. What should I do?

Because your account is not in Latin America.

Local keys are for local activation.

Get a refund from the place you bought it from or learn your lesson. Depending on the what the message says the key could either have been already used or region locked, nothing you can do either way.

Go back to the country you bought it from, activate it on your account and then get a plane home and wait 3 months for the regional restriction to lift.

Either that or suck up a loss. You can only activate keys in the applicable region and those that are restricted upon activation then have timed restrictions in play. As you're not in the country the key is from right now, you cannot activate it.

Then your store page must meet the location and requirement you can read in the faq about store location,
to activate the key.

Then the key will not activate, even if you are in Buenos Aires.
