How to properly crop Full Screen Background for Artwork?

Hi, as the title suggests has anyone found a good way to crop the backgrounds when set to Full Screen? I know that steam.design allows you to easily crop your background for the artwork but it only works when the background is set to Original Size. When choosing the Full Screen option the offset of the image changes and the cropped images no longer fit.
Has anyone got an idea of how to solve it?

Since setting the background to "Full Screen" causes the background to vary in size depending on the size of the window, you would need the showcase artwork to also vary in size to match which cannot happen. You need to set the background to Original Size to have the desired effect.

Yeah that I know of. Because of the offset of the whole image changes and such. But has anyone figured out a way to do it manually even via Photoshop or something but for a Full-Screen one? I'm right now gonna try to overlay a screenshot over a gif and try to cut it myself but perhaps someone found an easier way :D

You can still crop out the piece you need in the size of how it looks on your screen in Full Screen mode and set it with the usual process. It's just not going to look the same on everyone's screen. Like I usually keep Steam on the left half of screen. When the background is "full screen" in that position, it's going to be a lot smaller than if I maximize Steam to use the entire screen. And then my resolution isn't necessarily going to be the same as your resolution, or scaling.

I'm not saying you couldn't crop the background to whatever size you want, it's just that it will only be that way for the exact resolution and scaling that you are viewing your profile right now. The effect is going to be lost on nearly everyone else's screen.

Oh that's true I didn't even think of that. Because obviously, my image isn't going to scale with the background. But it would in the case of an original size as everyone keeps the same resolution and offset correct?
