Scroll Bug

My scroll is broken in Steam. Instead of scrolling up\down, it scrolls sideways. A scroll icon (scroll wheel with arrows on sides) appears near cursor when Steam is opened.

All accelerations in settings are disabled. Scroll works perfectly everywhere but Steam. Any fix?

Exactly. I thought that was a beta client issue, but when it was released, the issue is still here. Reinstalling Steam didn't help. I've noticed that the scroll icon doesn't appear the very first time you start Steam, but once you click on some menu.

While this is still not fixed, I've found a workaround as well. Press RMB while scrolling and it will behave as intended. Hope that helps

Fixed. If you are a X7 mouse owner, go to X7 Oscar Settings tray icon, RMB, 4-Way Wheel Settings and check the Normal Wheel option.

But as for me it's still a Steam issue though, as there was no such problem before the last big update. Mouse is working perfectly in other programs as well.

Can confirm it works! I'm indeed a X7 mouse user, and following your instructions solved this issue.

I am experiencing this issue but I have a Sharkoon Fireglider mouse, and the mouse settings client has no 4-way wheel setting. I'm 100% convinces that it's some setting in the Steam client. I was going through workshop mods, hit a couple of keys and suddenly BOOM my scroll wheel only scrolls left to right.
