Account Alert

Hi guys,
why my account got a "Account Alert" when i didn't do anything wrong and i will be permanently ban, i got notification of someone try to trade my item to their and i cancel it right away, after that i play offline game like normal, then open my profile and got ban like what did i do.

so if anyone know how solve this, i really appreciate it

Sounds like a compromised account.

Where was this account alert message? What did it say?

No one from Valve will ever ask you to trade stuff. Only scammers do

Hijacked, not hacked. You leaked your account credentials somehow.

Do not trade until your account is secured.

Take the following steps to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key (there should be no key). https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

You have no ban, your account is compromised and in the process of being scammed. Follow Cathulhu's guidance

Let's just say that there are other "bans" normal users can't see, even with xml.

If you done all steps and didn't leak any credentials, you should be fine.

Make sure you find out how you leaked your credentials and let a scammer into your account.

i think maybe i try to join some competition and so many that using that website "challenger" after try to registr it it become like this, my bad

no the alert just show up at my profile

That wasn't an account alert, that was a scammer editing your profile page.

A real account alert looks like this https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/789737935213391407/A0D37422DF2D0213D91A200FA648FBE544329E05/?imw=1024&imh=491&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=true - it has a coloured notification at the top of the client and when clicked, it opens a window with information about the alert. Anything else is a scam.
