I HAD MY ACCOUNT STOLEN

Hello , I had my account stolen and the options that I have on the https://help.steampowered.com/en/ don't help me , because if I go to " My account was stolen " its asking me to reset the password by inserting my email adress but the email adress was changed without me even knowing by the person that stole the account , I just know the user name at this moment and I don't know what to do , I emailed the support email adress from steam multiple times and its just telling me " go to https://help.steampowered.com/en/ " over and over again. Can I do anything ? How do I contact someone from steam to look into this.

LOG OUT of steam completely,
go there https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithLoginInfo?accountsearch=1&issueid=408&reset=1 , enter your account name, then do the captcha, then click search.

then "i no longer have access to this phone number"

then "i no longer have access to this email adress"

then there's the page to proof ownership for the account.

Without looking at the guide, I just tested how difficult it was.
So I start at the frontpage. Main nav contains support, well that what am i lookin for. Top option is help, cant login.
Those steps are exactly where I would look for.

When I went to the "can't login option you are mentioning , they were asking me to insert my email adress , I had no option to use the user name or "i can't access this email adress anymore" or "i don't have access to this phone number anymore , they were just asking for my email adress , and the email adress was not helping at all cus it was just changed without any confirmation from me. When I clicked the "use this account specific recovery link" they sent me on the email they were saying the account email was changed , I could only lock the account and remember the "very important code to unlock" and then the site just crashed for some reason , it was saying "not responding" , then I had 0 options. Somehow it worked now , i had the option from a link in that guide to select forgot email with the user name. waiting for reply from them.

For some reason my email and password wasn't recognized *after a windows update. Had to type in screen name rather then my email, now i get a safe guard code sent *to my email every time i login to steam. Its weird how it didn't recognized my info i have it on "remember me" for next login. Had to reset password. Maybe try using your screen**name in-place of email. Also that "bot verify" image puzzle is extremely rough.

Only very, very old accounts use email for logging in.

For everyone else it’s always been your account name - never your email address.

So, yeah, nothing to do with a Windows update.
