Steam link not working!!!!

So i got a new laptop that i want to use steam link with, this isnt a gaming laptop so thats why i want to use stema link, but when ever it says connect and i press it, nothing happens, it will say stop but only for a few seconds, then it will say connect again. anyone know how to fix this?

Is it able to fully detect the other PC? It ran through the whole connection process?

When you start Steam Link it will automatically search for other PCs on the network which client running and using the same account.

If Steam Link itself is refusing to open, you’ll have to reinstall it.

ok so this was my bad, cause the issue was because i didnt have microsoft visual installed, it fixxed

I need help, I am trying to my steam Vr games on my Quest 3 when I see that my steam link is downloaded on my Quest 3, I open it, and pair it when I try to pair in Tho it say0s"Streaming VR requires HEVC Hardware encoder and updated video drivers " how do i fix?
