thanks for the response but thats not what i meant, i meant that the headphones interanally was deciding to go onto the transparency mode.
but i found a solution myself, you need to go to control panel > sound > recording, then disable the headphones

I'm aware of the super-necro here but this is so far the only discussion that matches my issue. My only problem with your solution is that while disabling the headphones stops the loop, it also means that my mic cannot be used.
