Why does my games demo run better than the base game?

I downloaded little nightmares 2 and it ran really bad even If i put the settings to low it still didn't run well but when I played the demo it ran fine even with settings on ultra it was running smoothly. Why is this happening and is there a way to get the base game to run well?

Could be a driver issue. What are your system specs and what video driver version is installed?

If you are unsure, do this:
Open the Steamclient, click Help in the top men bar, then System Information. Copy all text into this thread.

Demos aren't always indicative of the performance of the game. But as said, best to ask in the game hub.
