Can I the same game twice on the same account together via LAN?

So, I recently got my old laptop which I used to game on way back in the day, which still holds up quite well.

Mainly this is about CoD WaW zombies but applies to all games that allow LAN multiplayer, am I able to boot the game up (one of them maybe been set up offline on steam) on both systems and setting up a LAN server on one then joining on the other.

I haven’t been able to find anyway of getting it to work as so far all my attempts have failed..

TLDR play the same game twice on one account but only through an offline connection? Is it possible?

no, make another account and buy it on that account to play 2 copies. LAN always required more than 1 copy of the game to be owned even in the old days, EXCLUDING Warcraft 3 and Starcraft due to "spawning".
