What is "geek"?

When you say you've uninstalled a lot - what exactly are you doing to uninstall the games? Are you uninstalling from Steam's launcher, or are you doing that AND making sure manually that your drive is free from the folders?

Are you rebooting your computer between any changes?

What SPECIFICALLY are you trying to remove?

geek uninstaller is THE uninstaller i use in my IT job. it opens steam and uninstalls the game then runs a scan on the computer to find any remnents, saves, custom config files, other stuff, and a registry scan to make sure all traces of the program are gone. Steam is the only launcher it does this issue to where it keeps saying my steam install is 233 GB. in /steamapps/common the only folders are the ones that i still have installed, and my registry is clean of past installs.

EDIT: just restarted PC. geek tells me im using up 672 GB of space from programs, but explorer say my C drive (steam install drive and program drive[games]) is only at 626 GB.

seems everything is removed correctly but why does GEEK not update correctly, if thats whats happening

So again: did you reboot your computer, and have you clicked on Steam's uninstall itself?

Did this program ever work with Steam before? Honestly it seems pretty useless, since manually uninstalling a steam game is all you'd ever actually need to do - unless of course you're using it at work on a computer that shouldn't have steam games on it... >->

Edit after your edit:

Ask the creator of that program then, seems like it's a program based error. Nothing to do with steam.

yes i rebooted. ive noticed this issue in the past with past installs of steam. i do it becasue steam doesnt clear the registry and leaves other traces of uninstalled games. Geek does all that. like i said, looking deeper my self, ive noticed my computer seems to know everything is gone, it just seems like this program, once it thinks a program (steam) is one size, it wont shrink it in its "database" and it reads steam as the size of all (or in this case all past) installs

Maybe the creators of the program need to have more information so that it can function properly - seems like they could use some of this to refine the program.
Look at the folders of steam (if you have more than one).
Count the total.

If geek is wrong, contact their support
