Twitter previews no longer working in Chat?

Is this a bug, or is it part of the API shenanigans?

Standard tweets appear to display.
Tweets that have videos only seem to show as links (tried this with a direct and indirect link).

It's a single static image, no alt text or video.

The other Tweet I chatted did have video, but I'll leave that one out because it has political content.

Hm, it was working fine as of the 23rd, it seems they do not display regular tweets either suddenly. Maybe maintenance broke something or they axed previews for it.

You probably need a blue checkmark for previews to work or some other nonsense. who knows these days

I dunno. I checked with one of Valve's posts and they have a gold checkmark (and CS2) and a post from Wildcat who has a blue checkmark and both no longer show anything but links.

Gold checkmark means Valve is probably giving $1,000 a month to the sinking ship, unless Elon personally exempted Valve, perhaps due to the Steam on Tesla client.

Elon probably did it. But I don't doubt Valve would pony up to try and ensure scams happen less often there.
