Friends list no longer closes and gets stuck on screen.

After today's update, friends list and chat windows are no longer closeable with the X in the corner and when highlighting a friend, their image gets stuck on the screen which can only be closed by restarting steam.

Same, think it's their attempt to fix the closing windows issue. You're not alone so no biggie tbh, should be fixed soonish.

Thank god i'm not the only one, been having issues with computer when I got home from work after trying my fixes I thought steam was just another problem.

Same.. The "mouse over" pop up also stays up there.. *sigh* Can't seem to close it or hide it. X fingers they fix it soon. It's Update Tuesday. I think it's Monday somewhere. I don't like Mondays lol


EDIT: Chat windows stay up, too. I can minimize them but they stay up when I don't. They won't close.. It's pretty bad over here. Hope it's not that bad for y'all.

in the top left corner click on steam -> settings -> interface and disable: scale text and icons to match monitor settings and everything below that, atleast thats what worked for me

Had this issue before, this same fix worked for the few hours it was busted. Seems this is a common thing that breaks steam closing windows.
